How do you work with general contractors and other trades on a build?

We treat the construction schedule as the contract. That means attending coordination meetings, sequencing rough-in around framing, mechanical, and plumbing, keeping panel schedules and as-built markups current, and flagging conflicts — duct runs through planned raceway paths, undersized electrical rooms, added loads — before they become change orders. Since 1991 the bulk of our new-construction work has come from GCs who call us back on the next project because the electrical scope did not slow the job.

Can you rough in low-voltage cabling on the same trip as the power wiring?

Yes, and it is the most efficient way to do it. While walls are open we install data, phone, security, and AV pathways alongside the branch-circuit rough-in — separate raceways and proper separation from power conductors, but one mobilization, one schedule, and one contractor responsible for both.
