Competitive & Transparent Electrical Pricing
Southern Electrical Services believes in honest, transparent pricing. Every project is different, but we provide detailed, itemized proposals so you know exactly what you're getting and what you're paying for.
How We Price Our Work
Commercial and industrial electrical work varies enormously in scope and complexity. Rather than publishing rates that may not apply to your specific project, we provide free, detailed estimates after assessing your specific needs. Our proposals include itemized labor, materials, and any permit fees — no hidden charges or surprise costs.
For recurring maintenance and service calls, we offer competitive hourly rates and can structure service agreements that provide consistent, predictable costs for your facility's electrical maintenance needs.
What Factors Affect Pricing
Project Scope and Complexity
A simple outlet installation is far simpler than a complete facility wiring project. We assess the full scope — number of circuits, panel work, conduit runs, special equipment — before providing a price.
Materials and Equipment
Material costs vary significantly based on wire gauge, conduit type, panel specifications, fixture types, and whether you're using standard or specialty equipment. We specify clearly what's included.
Permit and Inspection Fees
Most electrical work requires permits and inspections by the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ). Permit fees vary by municipality and project scope. We identify and include these in our proposals.
Timeline and Scheduling
Routine work scheduled in advance is the most cost-effective. Emergency after-hours calls command premium rates, which we're transparent about upfront.
Access and Site Conditions
Work in difficult-access areas, hazardous locations, or facilities requiring special safety protocols (lockout/tagout, arc flash PPE, etc.) involves additional time and cost that we account for in our estimates.
Free Estimates — No Obligation
We provide free estimates for all commercial and industrial electrical projects in the Houston area. Our experienced estimators will assess your project, ask the right questions, and provide a detailed proposal that gives you full visibility into what the work entails and what it will cost.
Most estimates can be provided within 1–2 business days of an initial site visit or project review. Emergency repairs are quoted before work begins.
